What does BARION™ mean?

Barion is an electronic payment service that allows you to pay with your credit card or prepaid balance in online stores, mobile apps.

The service provider is Barion Payment Zrt an institution under the supervision of the National Bank of Hungary the authorization number is H-EN-I-1064/2013.

Pay comfortably with card

It is not mandatory to register for Barion, just enter your credit card number expiration date and CVC code on the back of your card and your working email address.

However, if you sign up to Barion, you will never need to type in your card number at any Barion acceptance point, your email address and password will be enough to pay. This is not only convenient, but it also increases your security!

You can use it to pay:

• Mastercard or Maestro card
• Visa or Electron credit card
• Your Amex credit card

Pay conveniently without a credit card

If you do not have a credit card, you can use your prepaid Barion balance, which you can deposit by bank transfer or cash deposit. In this case, you can pay by entering your email address and password.

Free service!

Credit card payment for the customer is always free of charges. Registration and Barion mobile application are also for free, as well as money sending. Also no subscription or monthly fee.

Track your purchases

With Barion applications, you can track your purchases on the web or on the mobile. The free Barion Wallet will immediately announce all your purchases, even see what you have bought. You can manage your Barion balance here, or send or receive money

Safety first

Barion's servers are protected by Comodo 2048 bit TLS encryption. Before you make a payment, always make sure you provide the bank card details or password you need to pay for the Barion secure server.

Barion has the PCI DSS certification required by credit card companies, so it is authorized to handle bank card information. The security of the Barion servers has been designed according to the requirements of the Hungarian National Bank.
